....For us, that special moment was Stephen Stills, on stage, in a small club, really late one night.

years later, to our absolute amazement,
it appeared - on YouTube! Then, just
as suddenly…
…it was Gone.
Just… like… that.
The very same thing has happened to hundreds of thousands of other videos. And, literally, to millions of us who are fans. It’s a problem born from videos posted with enthusiasm, but without copyright clearance. As a result, all of these videos have been taken down by WMG, Sony, SOFA, EMI, and the like.
Tragically, this amounts to an entire era disappearing, right before our eyes! What can we all share, if it’s no longer there? So that this wholesale annihilation of these moments that are special to us all can be stopped….
Here’s our Plan
It’s forthright, it’s simple, and it’s honest:
FIRST - Let’s recognize that the soundtrack on these videos is someone’s property, and it’s their right to keep from us, if they wish. Yes, an awful thought, but – really – it’s true.

SECOND – Let’s get the Rights to them so that they will be preserved and so that they can be displayed. So that we can see them, you can see them, and so that our children can see them. (So far… forthright, simple, and honest?)
· fill out and file every copyright form for every video we want
· negotiate with its Copyright Owner a price for its use
· pay what we must, and post it for our pleasure.
· In fact, post them all, for free, and for all to enjoy!
We think this Plan is fairly righteous. At the least, it’s the right thing to do. Surely, it’s 180 degrees from “do the same thing, get the same result”. In fact, it’s the most direct route to our goal: getting the videos we want posted, posted. AND, because they are finally secured in a legitimate fashion (PAID FOR!), we can all rest assured that once they’re posted, they’ll stay posted.
